Our microneedling treatments

Every treatment begins with a skin assessment, so we can choose the combination that suits your skin and your goals.

How it works

What is microneedling?

Microneedling uses very fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin. This prompts the skin’s natural repair process, which supports the production of new collagen and elastin over the following weeks.

Combined with a resurfacer, PDRN, an exosome booster or radiofrequency, microneedling can be tailored to target a specific concern more precisely.

What can microneedling help with?

  • Acne scarring and post-acne marks
  • Uneven texture and enlarged pores
  • Pigmentation and uneven skin tone
  • Fine lines and early signs of ageing
  • Loss of firmness, with radiofrequency microneedling

What to expect

Your practitioner assesses your skin, cleanses and prepares it, then carries out the treatment. Most treatments take between one hour and one and a half hours. Afterwards your skin may feel warm and look pink for a day or two.

Aftercare

For the first few days, keep your skin clean, avoid make-up for 24 hours, avoid heat, exercise and active ingredients, and wear a broad-spectrum SPF every day. We give you full written aftercare after your treatment.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How much does microneedling cost in Derby?

Microneedling at our Derby clinic starts at £80 for needle-free microneedling. Standard microneedling is £130, our advanced combination treatments are £150 and radiofrequency microneedling is from £200.

How many microneedling sessions will I need?

Most clients see the best results from a course of three to six sessions, usually spaced around four to six weeks apart. We recommend a plan at your consultation based on your skin and goals.

Is there any downtime after microneedling?

Skin is usually pink, similar to mild sunburn, for 24 to 48 hours. Most people return to normal activities the next day. We give you full aftercare advice after your treatment.

When will I see results?

Skin often looks fresher within a week. Because microneedling supports collagen production, improvements in texture and scarring build gradually over the following weeks and across a course of treatments.

Is microneedling suitable for all skin types?

Microneedling can suit many skin types and tones. It is not suitable during active breakouts, certain skin conditions or pregnancy, which is why every treatment starts with a skin assessment.
